Sundy Príncipe Retreat´s Training Project Presentation

On November 27th, at Anfiteatro Restaurant, it took place the presentation of the training project to the Sundy Príncipe Retreat, a new luxury eco-resort, in Príncipe´s island.

 

The Sundy Príncipe Retreat to be inaugurated in early 2017, will be the new resort belonging to the company HBD, that is investing in São Tomé e Príncipe to promote sustainable development.

 

In the first quarter of 2016 EFTH will start a training project, which is expected to last nine months, for about 100 people, divided by the areas of bar, kitchen, housekeeping, reception and restaurant, in a total of over 4000 hours of training.

 

This is the first international project of EFTH and it is an important step to his claim as one of the references of vocational training in Portugal.

 

Merit Awards Ceremony sponsored by GRUPO BENSAUDE

EFTH held on the 13th of November, at Anfiteatro Lounge, the GRUPO BENSAUDE´s merit awards ceremony, under the partnership that the entities have.

 

We sought to recognize the trainee  with the best academic record who studied in EFTH between 2012 and 2015.

 

The award went to the trainee Hugo Ponte, that attended with distintion the Restauration Technical Course - Restaurant/Bar.

EFTH ´s student win one golden medal in Cervia

EFTH participated in the 28th Annual Competition of the European Association of Hotel and Tourism Schools (AEHT), in Cervia (Italy), 5-10 October.

 

The event was attended by about 350 students from 30 european countries who competed in several categories (Bartending, Cocktails, Nouvelle Cuisine, Haute Cuisine, Kitchen Decathlon, Wine Service, Hotel Management, Pastry, Recepcionist, Tourism and Restaurant.)

 

EFTH´s Júlia Medeiros won the gold medal in Haute Cuisine.

 

Student Misael Silva, teaming up with Saso Pajk (Slovenia) and Kai Laitinen (Sweden) won the silver medal in Nouvelle Cuisine contest.

 

Once again the hard work of EFTH´s trainees and trainers was rewarded with medals, something that has been happening consecutively since 2009 the in the AEHT´s Annual Competition.
